A proud daughter of this great Holy City of Amritsar and it gives me a great pleasure and honour to send a message on the Centenary Celebrations of the Institute For the Blind, Amritsar which is one of the oldest such Institutions in the country.I am familiar with the management of the Institution headed by Ashok Sethi and Arun Kapur. Both are very close friends and associated with them for last many decades.

The Institution is rendering yeomen service to uplift the visually handicapped children coming from diverse backgrounds from across North India. It is helping them to become independent and allow them to pursue their passion in various fields including Music, Computers and also help them to further improve their academic studies and even allow them to go for higher education and join professional courses.

I wish the institution all the best and offer my services in the skill development projects to further improve their chances to become self reliant and economically independent. Centenary Celebrations are great landmark in the history of this Institution.
